Catalyzt Nutrition provides an intensive, holistic nutrition program promoting healing and optimal performance for active-duty special operators, retired veterans, and private clients.

Catalyzt Nutrition operates as an independent performance nutrition private practice and commercial meal prep kitchen. 

 

Client Care/Food Prep Specialist

 

Primary Responsibilities:

·      Report to Lead Performance Dietitian (LPD) and Assistant Dietitian (AD) in LPD’s absence. During meal prep shifts, reported to the Facilities Manager.

·      Oversee client customer service, interactions, and engagement.

·      Maintain a working knowledge and understanding of nutrition software and food service platform printing. (Including, but not limited to: client intakes, establishing calories, macro and micro nutrient needs, scaling menu items for each client, creating and editing weekly menus, working within KDS to print tickets and translate production needs to raw ingredients for prep and grocery purchasing).

·      Understanding the biomarker platform and assisting with profile set-up and data entry. Maintaining a working knowledge of the software to be able to educate clients if they have questions.

·      Perform data entry & filing (body composition, client charts and nutrition software records, supplement utilization/tracking and costing, supplement inventory)

·      Maintain a working understanding of point of sale system and overseeing point of sale transactions.

·      Sales and logistics oversight including, but not limited to: determining appropriate state and national taxes and fees, drafting invoices, sending invoices, collecting payments, basic accounting, and spreadsheet management.

·      Assist with Kitchen cook day hours of operations. Hours of operation begin for hourly staff at 7:30am and run until the established task list for each station is complete and the facility is properly cleaned, typically end between 2-3 pm.

·      Contributing (at least 1 idea every month):

o   4 week cycle menu suggestions for menu seasonal availability and variety.

o   New recipe ideas, themes, seasoning/marinades. (All suggestions must have written recipes and a demo day will be determined for kitchen & VHP staff to sample suggested item.)

·      As needed: assist with grocery shopping, VHP client cooler logistics, private client cooler pick-ups & deliveries, kitchen hours of operation coverage and oversight if the Dietitians and Facility Manger are unavailable.

·      Administrative duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Requirements:

·      Serve Safe or Equivalent Food Service Handler Manager Certification

·      Understand, maintain and comply with HIPAA regulations.

·      1-2 years restaurant/cooking/commercial kitchen experience.

·      1-2 years customer service experience (retail or food industry)

·      Willingness to work non-traditional hours, early mornings, some weekends, and holidays.

·      Fluent and effective oral and written communication, presentation skills in English.

·      Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, time and priority management skills.

·      Outstanding attention to detail.

·      Knowledge of and the ability to use Microsoft Office platforms.

·      Creative thinking and problem-solving skills, ability to think outside of the box.

·      Knowledge of performance nutrition, health, and wellness.

·      Ability to work in a team environment and be a team player.

·      Ability to work independently, take initiative & complete tasks with minimal direction.

·      Ability to be punctual, enthusiastic, and self-motivated.

·      Capable of meeting physical demands of assisting with and participating in training sessions. Ability to assist with nutrition education and/or strength and conditioning testing and training.

·      Must be able to manipulate loads and plates up to 50 pounds.

·      Sign NDA (to protect Catalyzt client safety and privacy).

 

Preferred Requirements:

·      Bachelor’s degree in culinary arts, nutrition, or related field.

·      Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support by the American Heart Association.
